Alison Swan

Board Member
Alison Swan is a British–American filmmaker, writer, and real estate developer whose career spans creative industries, governance engagement, and property development. She brings strategic insight on sustainable tourism, placemaking, and culturally aligned economic growth.
A graduate of Bates College and New York University’s MFA program in Filmmaking, Ms. Swan wrote and directed the feature film Mixing Nia and co-wrote Nothing Like the Holidays, a major studio release. Her creative work has explored cultural identity, community narratives, and the social dimensions of enterprise.

Now focused on real estate development and strategic advisory roles in Bermuda, she brings perspective on place-based investment, cultural capital, and sustainable tourism frameworks.

At BITA, Ms. Swan strengthens the organization’s ability to integrate infrastructure strategy with community identity, ensuring that innovation initiatives are grounded not only in technology and regulation, but also in long-term social coherence and value creation.
